The concept revolves around transforming an object that either heals or induces euphoria into one that keeps us grounded. Inspired by the pharmaceutical industry and rave culture, this piece mimics the form of pills; small, minimal, and varied in purpose. In Western culture, we consume these pills without much thought, placing blind trust in doctors and dealers alike, seeking healing or a dopamine rush.
Crafted from solid European oak, the piece can function as a seat, coffee table, or a decorative element, admired for its intricate design. Engraved with a sentimental symbol from a project we initiated in 2015, it pays homage to a significant journey that expanded our creative horizons. The object features a ‘break line’ at the bottom, reminiscent of many pills, and its triangular shape with slightly curved corners is aesthetically pleasing.
